With the latest finding of who, in my opinion (which always counts), is a sure fire HOF it got me to wondering this question. Will TO find himself on the outside looking in when it comes to the Hall of Fame? The numbers don't lie when it comes to Owen's career. Outside of the great Jerry Rice, there is no other WR that posted the number accumulated over a career of clear ups and down like TO. Owens is a clear example of how you can not go against the media machine. He is still a productive player if u are comparing his last season with the Cinny. He also hasn't been to much of a distraction in his final years with buffalo and Cinny. In fact it seemed to rub the media completely the wrong way when Owens said the "right" things. Everyone knows the media is the HOF selection committee. So knowing the love to hate him relationship they have for TO. Should that keep him out of the hall.
Simply put....Hell no!!! In fact I feel it's crazy that he is not a active NFL player at this point. There are so many players with just as much on field issues coupled with off field drama still collecting a check to play a game they are constantly reminding us its a honor to play. Which it absolutely is in the same sense of it being a honor for anyone who reports on it fulltime and make a good living doing so. Hopefully this isnt the last of the popcorn eat, deep pass catching hall of famer. yes I said it lol. If it id five years from now he should be wearing his last uniform in yellow
